Over The Wall is a national children's charity whose purpose is to provide life-changing experiences to children and young people aged 8-17 who are affected by serious and life limiting illness and conditions. They do this by offering free activity camps, specifically developed to foster coping, resilience, self-esteem and confidence. The programme extends to the whole family during the family weekends. These camps offer much needed recreation and family time, and an opportunity to meet other members who may be facing similar challenges. If you have a child with TM, ADEM or NMO you are invited to take part in a Family Camp run by the Over The Wall children's charity on 4-6 October (Fri to Sun) in Grosvenor Hall, Kent. Over the Wall is inviting applications from families who have a child aged 8 to 17 who is experiencing or has recently experienced the challenges of a serious or life threatening illness. The child's parents and siblings may also take part and the camp is residential. It is FREE to attend! The family’s only cost is getting to and from the camp venue. You can apply to take part via the Over The Wall website or go to the application form directly by clicking here (but please be patient, the form takes awhile to load up).
The deadline for applications is 9 August.
