TM and NMO event in Belfast - 9th May

Sadly, this event has been cancelled due to lack of participants.

For those of you in Northern Ireland and Ireland - The NMO Specialist Service from the Walton Centre in Liverpool has a patient information evening booked in BELFAST for those of you living with NMO and TM - 9th May 7-9pm at the Park Inn.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP via email [email protected] or call 0151 529 8357. They are very keen to run this session, but at the moment, it doesn't have enough people signed up to justify running it. It's a great opportunity to get good info from a team that knows a lot about TM and NMO!

Elspeth is running the Kilomathon (13.1 km)

The Edinburgh Kilomathon is on Sunday 8th April and Elspeth is running her first race since having TM in November 2012.

She says, 'I was very quickly diagnosed and had fabulous care at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. It was a long recovery, but I have been one of the lucky ones to make a fairly good one.'

Elspeth has raised over £1000 for the TM Society so far, and you can make a donation at her justgiving site. She says 'it's a way of saying thank you to you all for being there and I also wanted to raise awareness of the condition.'

Charlie and Mollie's 5th Birthday Party

Mollie and Charlie

For their 5th birthday party, Charlie and Mollie, with almost 40 friends plus their parents, boarded a narrow gauge steam train for a fun journey. Everyone was treated to beautiful views of the snow-covered countryside, as luckily the weather hadn't cancelled the proceedings. Upon return, everyone enjoyed a party tea at the station cafe.

Charlie and Mollie both decided that instead of receiving gifts from their friends for their birthday, they would each raise money for a charity close to their hearts. Charlie chose the TM Society, as a way to say thank you, for the help he has received since he was diagnosed with TM at age two. The total raised for the TM Society was an amazing £270.
