The TM Society was lucky in the charity ballotThe TM Society managed to get a place in the 2016 marathon via the charity ballot this year.
We introduced an application process asking potential runners to tell us their training and fundraising plans, and their link to the TM Society.

The 26.2 mile race will take place on 24th AprilTrainingMark is currently running five times a week totalling 30 miles. His longest training run so far has been 20 miles. He said the training is a big commitment and much more intense than for running a half marathon, and at times, can be very exhausting. The biggest challenge he finds is maintaining his weight given all the running he is doing!
His tactic to keep going when it gets tough, particularly in the rain and wind, is to put his head down, focus on placing one foot in front of the other, think about how TM can knock a person for six, and that he can run and so run he will.
News as we get closer to the dayWe will update you with more training news before the big day. In the mean time, Mark says he is planning to eat more.
