London Marathon Application

Want to run the 2016 London Marathon for the TM Society?

The TM Society has one guaranteed place in the 2016 Virgin London Marathon which takes place on 24th April 2016.

You can apply for this place if you pledge to raise a minimum total of £2,000 for the TM Society.

The allocation of our place will be decided after the public ballot places are announced.

If you have entered the public ballot, you can still apply for the TM Society’s place. When the results of the public ballot become know, please let us know as soon as possible whether you have received a place or not. If you have, you will no longer be eligible for the TM Society’s place. But you are still welcome to run for the TM Society if you wish and we will support you and promote your efforts to our members.

Your application will be subject to a selection process so that the TM Society can ensure its 2016 Virgin London Marathon place is used to the best possible effect. The decision criteria used will be a combination of your relationship with the TM Society, your fundraising experience and plans, and your running experience and training plans.

Important – Please read and sign the following terms and conditions
I understand that if I applied for a place in the London Marathon via the public ballot and I receive it, I will no longer be eligible for the TM Society’s guaranteed place.

I understand that the total balance of my sponsorship would have to be paid to the TM Society by 31st May 2016. If you need more time to collect sponsorship, please let the TM Society know in writing in advance of this date.

If offered a guaranteed place, I agree to use Virgin Money Giving to collect my on-line donations - uk.virginmoneygiving.com/charities/myelitis

I agree that any images I supply before the run and taken on the day of the Marathon may be used by the TM Society for promotional purposes to promote me as the runner and in the future.

If I need to withdraw for any reason, I will inform the TM Society as soon as possible so my place can be transferred to another runner. As the TM Society’s place in the 2016 Virgin London Marathon was obtained via the charity ballot, it will not be possible to defer your place to the following year.
