MS Society
www.mssociety.org.uk

MS Society Membership covers a bi-monthly magazine 'MS Matters'. This is very informative with articles often closely linked and relevant to Transverse Myelitis. Free booklets are available also from the MS Society and at our group meetings on topics from fatigue management to continence and relationship issues.

Our Support Group has joined links with the Osborne Centre for Multiple Sclerosis in West Parley. They have a day centre Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. We are able to access the neuro physiotherapist there for assessment and treatment. Membership is £5 per year and well worth joining! Please email membership@ms-bournemouth.co.uk for membership enquiries and access their website:

www.ms-bournemouth.co.uk

You will be assimilated to your nearest group according to your postcode unless you specifically inform the MS Society that you wish to go to a different branch of your choice, which some members may do as the Poole/Bournemouth TM Group covers a wide geographical area.

Charity Skydive Summer 2009

Wells and Glastonbury Young Farmers Club from Somerset have decided to have The Transverse Myelitis Society as their chosen charity for this year. The main reason is because the father of three of our members suffers from the condition. After a very informative talk by Patrick's wife, Janet Biss, we agreed that it would be worthwhile trying to raise money for the TM Society as it is not as widely supported as some other charities. To help raise money we are doing a Charity Skydive in Honiton on September 6th 2009. Total raised to date for Poole Support Group and TM Society £8394.65!!
